Deaf, Hard-of-hearing and Deaf-blind Well-Being Program

The WBP provides services for four tracks of service:

Therapy - for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf-blind and their family members in BC.
Interpretation - for clients accessing mental health services.
Support workers – who provide life-skills, advocacy, case management, community liaison, counselling and support groups.
Workshops – community education on mental heath topics.

An online tool by Pacific Blue Cross that compares prescription drug costs at different pharmacies across BC.

Yale Pharmacy

Welcome House has developed a relationship with an independent pharmacy on the corner of Drake and Granville. Yale Pharmacy is now completely set up to take IFH. Can fax or write prescriptions for any clients who are still living at Welcome House.

Grandview-Woodlands Community Health Centre - Dental Development

Early childhood tooth decay prevention for ages 1-3.
Exams, cleanings, fissure sealants free for children of elementary age and younger. Fillings and extractions at reduced fees.
Emergency dental care for any school aged child or younger who has no dentist and needs urgent care.

Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre

Basic dentistry for those over 18.
10% off basic treatment if uninsured and work done by dental resident.
2-4 week waitlist. 3 month waitlist for IV sedation. 2 year waitlist for oral surgery.
Can request translator at first visit for future visits.

REACH Community Health Centre

Basic dentistry for alla ges.
10% discount for uninsured. No reduction in lab fees.
6-week waitlist.
