This program is open to immigrant and refugee youth between the ages of 13 and 25, who have been in Canada for less than 5 years, and are facing multiple barriers that are making it difficult for them to pursue educational or career goals.
MAP will combine one-on-one support from S.U.C.C.E.S.S. youth workers, with in-class group sessions at VCC, and is following the model of our pilot project World Beat, which ran for the past 3.5 years. For an idea of the program elements, please check out the World Beat website at www.worldbeat4you.ca.
It is a free program and participants will receive a weekly allowance of $50, as well as a monthly transit pass for the 3 months that they are attending.
